VSO Ireland - Innovative models of volunteering
Barncat conducted research for VSO Ireland on innovative models of shorter term volunteering to complement their standard long-term programmes. The research involved looking at models of shorter term volunteering in volunteer sending organisations, including repeat, relay and remote volunteering. A mix of desk research and interviews were employed, including field research in Uganda and Tanzania.
What they said:
Hannah delivered a very thorough, informed and practical piece of research for VSO which we have been able to use to guide our work on short-term skilled volunteering. She very quickly and effectively learned about the issues involved in this work, identified and interviewed key people and produced an overview of existing best practice and recommendations for VSO. It was a pleasure working with Hannah, both on desk research and in the field, and I have no hesitation in recommending her.
