The EU Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA) are currently conducting a multi-annual study on the right of people with disabilities to independent living, looking specifically at the ongoing process of persons with disabilities moving from large residential institutions to homes in the community across Europe.

Hannah is currently employed as national researcher in Ireland for this project, conducting interviews and focus groups with service providers, local and national government officials, service users and their families and compiling a national report, which will feed into the comparative report at EU level.
